Your therapist might change her mind about things depending on how you present it to her.
One way might be to say that you've thought about what it would really mean to cut back to half the amount of sessions and was wondering if she would consider following the previous protocol because you've decided you really don't want the fewer amount of sessions.
Just try and bring it up in a non-confrontational/judgmental manner. I've found raising issues this way makes it much more likely you'll get what you want/need because people are less likely to go on the defensive.
