I've been told that I love too easily? and been called Pollyanna. Used to bother me a lot. I too go through periods of time when I become a hermit. I have come to the conclusion that, yes, I am (nice) and I like me that way...this is who I am! What I have had to learn is to say no when it isn't in my best interest. I've learned when to say no by honing my instincts. We've been taught all our lives to override our instincts and play nice so we don't listen to ourselves. You can still be nice and be good to yourself. Took me awhile to learn that.
