Hey, I'm Omega im 14 ive been to a psych unit so yeah a mental hospital. I went twice there. Once for self harming myself and I stayed there for 3 days. Umm truthfully I was really scared at first, and it is for the first couple of hours. But actually you meet other teens there that are going thru the same stuff. So you make friends and you kinda be scared m together its actually kinda cool. The nurses and other staff are really nice and really care for you. The place is more of a house rather than a hospital like you see in the movies its not like that at all. The wards arent scary inclosed creepy places you have rooms with light awesome furniture. I went there another time after I overdosed and stayed for a week. But as long as your not trying to cause trouble like I was the people are really nice to you. But if you scared and freak out just tell the nurses they will help you calm down. Anywho I hope this helps.
