Just in time! as she leaves for vacation today. I saw her two days in a row (part 1 and part 2 of arguing if you will). We ended on good terms but I was still feeling iffy about it. So I texted her. And she offered to call me to talk about it.

She said, "I understand." "You were trying to solve the issue the only way you knew how." She told me that I shouldnt feel guilty or sorry for the way I felt about it, and for making a big deal out of it.

I am so grteful that she said those things. It let me see that we can disagree but also still respect the other person's opinions. She didn't invalidate my feelings, but instead let me know that it was ok to feel what I was feeling, even if they didn't make sense or go along with what she thought. That is worth more to me than anything else.
