I know I have been posting here a lot lately but then thought that most of you don't know me and thought I would introduce myself and tell you a bit about me in case you are interested.
I'm Kate, from Australia. I have just finished uni and am currently job hunting. I do have a past - I suffered abuse during my teenage years and the pain led me to SI. However I managed to stop just over 4 years ago. I still have thoughts and urges when I get extremely stressed, and to be completely honest have struggled again lately, but overall I am doing a lot better. I did see a therapist for 6 months about 5-6 years ago but had a very bad experience. I think if things became bad again I would seek out help but believe I am currently in a place where I don't need it.

I'm nowhere near perfect but hope that I can pass on some of the tips that helped me get to this point, and give back the support you some of you that I received from others around me when I stopped. Also, just somewhere for support. I was very fortunate to have a good group of friends to support me but they don't really understand what it's like when struggling.
So I'll stop now. Really just wanted to say hi
