At the time I was on Medicaid and having a really difficult time because of the trauma of losing custody of my oldest son. It was directly after the birth of my middle son.
At the hospital the psychiatrist put me on Abilify but no diagnosis, and then I was set up to go through the system to get in to see another psychiatrist. So they sent me to this social worker intern who did an interview with me and somehow decided to stick me in a group therapy thing that was for people who were court ordered to be in anger management.... Because I told her I was angry about losing my son.... >.>
Well these were people who were there because of crazy things. LIke one lady was there because she had held a woman's head by force so that it was smashed by closing bus doors. Another lady was there for physically abusing her disabled mother (I think she pushed her wheelchair down the stairs.) Another guy was there for breaking both of his girlfriend's legs with a crowbar.... so yeah.... it wasn't really where I belonged.
It was going to take 2 months to get in to see the psychiatrist, but after having the baby, my Medicaid ran out a month before I was supposed to be seen.
In the meantime, the Abilify was making me have crazy muscle movements, rapid heart rate, panic attacks, and all types of issues. So I went to my OB and was sobbing so he took me off the Abilify and gave me the Rx for prozac.

Then his nurse tried for three hours to find a psychiatrist that could see me to no avail.... So, I never got in to see a psychiatrist and never filled the Rx.
