Nope, you're not being paranoid or too sensitive! That's kind of how therapy goes. It digs up the muck that we'd prefer to avoid from our past experiences, and helps us sort through them. I'm guessing that what you're seeing right now as "bad" therapy is really the work of therapy - the tears, the muck, the mess, the yuck... that's the work, and it's hard and it can suck, but in the end, it makes life a bit lighter.
Two sessions isn't a ton of time, either. You're going to find that you'll have sessions that will likely be light and happy, but other times you may end up crying your way home, at least that's been my experience.
Keep working on it, the challenge of therapy is sticking with it through the chaos!
