Nicks_Nose: And the same is true with Iceland and areas of northern Europe. (I studied atmospheric and earth science in university before dropping out and won awards in geography classes.) However, I am smack-dab in central Canada, with no coast to moderate our weather (continental climate), thus we have some significant lows and highs! -40˚C or lower in the winter and +40˚C and higher in the summer. We're among the hottest and coldest in Canada. An F5 tornado hit close to where I am living now back in 2008.

Anika.: Nose hairs do freeze! The Okanagan has no winter compared to the Prairies; I went there in 2009 . Yes, I know the feeling of hands and feet freezing, and it is not a comfortable one. Whenever we travel to the USA we receive some strange reactions from Americans! .
