Well I checked him in yesterday! His probation officer drove him from the Juvie to the Rehab. She was really so caring about him while he was in the hall, I'm grateful that she was so helpful. She has even said that attending NA meetings will count as his community service requirements. The woman at the rehab told me probation never does that.

My son was nervous about the program, said he hopes he'll be able to do it. Hopefully he won't run, it's not a lock down facility. It's up to him now. I will get to go visit him on Thanksgiving day, they allow the families to come and give us food. I'm very glad I'm off the hook now for making some turkey dinner and all that. I'm not the greatest cook.

I'm slightly nervous about the outcome, but honestly feel relieved and free at the moment. I might actually have 30 days of peace of mind, knowing he's at a good safe place getting help, making new sober friends, restarting his education. I will be able to go to work, not have to watch him every minute, allow my younger boy to actually invite a friend over to play. I didn't have to hide my keys, money, meds under my pillow last night... quite a good feeling.

I was so careful packing his things, labelling everything, etc. But I totally forgot his sweatshirts, and it's cold and rainy, whoops. Luckily the place is not far, so I am going to their office to drop off.

Then I'm off to the store for supplies to attempt a MineCraft theme cake for younger son, bday is Monday. I think I'll make blocks out of rice krispy treats or brownies that he can stack. I'll have to look back over posts, Anika, since I got the idea from you (thank you!).

Thank you all for your kind prayers and well wishes and support. I feel good, ok, safe. And I'm not going to go to the "if I feel ok now, then something bad will happen soon" place. I'm just being here now, breathe in this moment.
