It didn't help that my advisor was a total spineless jellyfish. He let people step all over him and his students. He never once stood up for me. When I taught a lab class, my students did really well, so they accused me of letting them cheat, which I did not. I'm not stupid enough to risk losing my job and getting the students in trouble. My supervisor, who was a total b****, her supervisor, the dean, and my advisor all met in this little conference room so they could question me, literally giving me the third degree. My supervisor started disliking me after I caught pneumonia twice in a row and was out for 2 weeks. After that, she treated me like s***. In the conference room, I swear all they needed was a lamp to shine in my face like they did in the detective movies. I was able to prove to them that I did not let my students cheat, I just had them well-prepared with lots of good notes, study sessions, etc. Sorry the rest of y'all suck at teaching. Not my problem. Not once did my advisor stick up for me. He pretty much threw me to the wolves, so to speak. And the dean, who knows absolutely nothing about what goes on with his students, was telling me that I need to be making good grades, just like the other moron had said. I was beginning to get pissed off, like where the heck do you guys keep coming up with this crap? I have A's and B's in ALL of my classes. He was so far removed from what was going on around him, only caring what was happening in his world, that the whole school could have burned down and he would've never noticed. Well DUH!! They actually sent my advisor to my APARTMENT, my freaking apartment, to tell me that they had given my assistantship to the other student. He was like well you could always take out loans. What do you think I've been doing for the past 2 years?? My aunt, who I lived with, was so angry that she told him to gtfo. I was just kinda in shock, like what the heck just happened here.... The school wasn't a bad school. It was that department that needed help. I'll be surprised if the program does well in the future. Given the morons who work for it.
