I found that if you have to go to the hospital you may need your medications in the bottles. They won't let you take any meds that aren't in the original bottles. I was at my Mom's and had to have my gallbladder taken out. I was admitted under "observation" which meant they wouldn't dispense my regular meds and I didn't have the med bottles with me. I also had to stay longer than I planned. I missed my meds while in the hospital and then had to take meds every other day in order to make it until I was released by the doctor to return home. My advice -- take your pill bottles.
