As far as I can tell from my experiences with dating websites, all of them are trash, and I have used lots of them without success. I am a moderator on OKCupid.com, and I have used POF, Match.com, Metrodate, more than I can remember, and have never had success in meeting or chatting with a single woman that liked me. E-Harmony looked promising, but it rejected me because my personality is unmatchable, go figure.

The issue I find with online dating is not with the services themselves but that it appears to always be the same kind of individuals that use them. Searching through Match.com will lead to the same results that POF or OKCupid have; indeed, I have read through so many of them that I have noticed the descriptions are identical. I don't know if this is a consequence of living in a society that disapproves of differences and desires uniformity, or if it's the same kind of individuals that use these services, or maybe fake profiles.

Overall I don't find dating websites to be useful to me. The only major benefit is that when I am rejected, it is online, and thus is easier to deal with.
