You have nothing to be ashamed of. I am on leave for treatment of bipolar disorder. People can't see what is going on in your brain, but if it's broken, you need the time to fix it and heal. I have been out for a while, and felt the same way early on. After having some time to work through many medication changes and getting counseling, I feel like I am a lot stronger mentally. You have nothing to worry about except working on yourself.
