I really am not saying this in jest. Consider getting yourself a punching bag. Besides that, exercise will relieve a lot of tension. especially if it's a good bike ride, jog etc. The release of energy, endorphin's and better health and sleep. Plus it is something you get instant results from, the runners high and just feeling better to be out.
Other practices that a lot of people do but drives me mad is meditation. I think that would make me worse. But it's great for some. Another thing you can do and this may sound really cheesy. Sit down and make a gratitude list. It really does help put things into perspective and realize how much we so easily take for granted. I can sit down and say I have my house, a roof over my head. i have food I am not hungry. i have a mother and sister that love me and are supportive. I have my freedom. I can walk outside and go where I want. I have my dog and cat. I have a few close friends. I have my bike, which is crucial because I'm a bike messenger.

I mean I can go on and on but you know what I'm saying. also try to figure out where the anger is coming from. It's obviously coming from inside you but why? Can you pinpoint it? Talk to a close friend if you can. Keep busy with your passions and hobbies. And sometimes it's just good to just hang with the family. Even if you are not in the best of moods. just plop down on the couch and chill. watch the parade and crazy holidays pass by.
Last thing, if to see a psychologist or mental health worker, just tell them how you feel. That's why they get paid to help.
