I too am thankful for having the courage to decline invitations, though well-meaning- that would have stressed me, traveling long distances to be with people I don't really care for. Instead, I just walked across the street to be with my lovely neighbors. These people are so kind, caring for my Maine Coon kitty while I'm at work, and the dinner was lovely. I called this neighbor later in the day today to tell her how much I appreciated all her cooking and the company.
