I like Steve a lot, but I think this is pure foolishness. I have a wife and a little girl and another child on the way...for me to say that I would give my life to save an animal would be one of the worst cases of misplaced priorities I can imagine.

He has a passion for animals and conservation, and that's great, but shouldn't his passion for his family come first? Couldn't he find a way to help the animals that didn't involve prodding them and provoking them to attack?

It's true that his wife and kids have his memory, but if I was a little kid, I think I'd rather have my daddy than a memory.
