Thanks DJ.
One of the things that bugged me about that show was it's irresponsibly giving the impression(the impression I got) that it was all out of our hands when in fact global warming and several of the other potential civilization killers are created by what we do each day and who we elect to regulate and control the reckless and shortsighted behaviors of industry. Humans have become so numerous and their collective industries so powerful that they(we), have the power to destroy the planet in several ways. All it takes is enough ignorance and apathy (lack of rage and action) by the disenfranchised and the continuing of the broken status quo system for the human experiment to run a course to self near-extinction.

Gabbie,
Yes it is easy to become overwhelmed, I have felt that way for decades, nearly a voice in the dark swamp of a society that said that's nice now go find a 'real' job, to help the status quo, or don't bother me. I hope you and others can learn to deal with such things better than I have been able to so far. I just burnt out trying to battle and or find a way out of the earth killing machine, that seems bent on killing my voice and efforts, through censorship, or neglect, when not outright punishing me.

I think it goes beyond his climate change subject and to every instance of group think and propaganda control in all fields that imperil us in his book where Al Gore says;

"The truth about the climate crisis is an inconvenient one that means we are going to have to change the way we live our lives."

Obsessing(worrying) about it doesn't help much but we must still deal with and prevent/solve the problems we face, in many cases collectively when the powers at be want to put it all on the individual when it is the powers at be who are causing the problems. I try to take a breath, find something to have some fun at for a while to calm myself and then get back at it. I wish I was way better at that, perhaps in time.

Good luck, and be well.
