I went on a coffee date with a very nice East Indian man. I liked him plenty but not in "that way". I can see myself meeting again, no problem, for a good conversation or even to do things together, e.g. play badminton (and he is conveniently my height) but I do not see myself dating him even though his touch felt nice and warm. He is not a liar - he is who he presents himself to be (same profession so it is easy to verify), his English is perfect, his choice of words is excellent, his taste is good (we browsed antique and arts stores together after coffee), there was just no chemistry.
Do I email a thank you note?
What is the polite and appropriate thing to do? He said that he wanted to see me again.
I do not want to offend him.
