Hi daisy - welcome to PC!

I read about your car accident - am glad you're "ok".

If they were my parents, I wouldn't lie to them - but I'd phrase it something like "I feel really rotten about that car accident and all this aftermath stuff". That would get the point across, and perhaps would be enough for your parents to hear. Unless you want to tell them more? Have you thought about seeing someone at the university (counsellor or T) for a session or two to go over all of this? They can help put things in perspective, and give you clues or a starting point about how to talk to your parents without worrying them.

Another thing about parents worrying - chances are that they already are worrying about you because they ask you if you're okay. Parents worry, because they love you and would like to make sure you're okay and safe. Can't stop parents from worrying really, they do it and they don't even give any clue that they are!!

Hope you find a solution to your problem/issue soon
