I agree with JustBen. He did seem to be a good guy and did a lot for preservation of wildlife etc. But what is sadder is that it is such a waste of a life. I'd rather have my father with me as I grow up than some sort of 'hero' that is not present for me. What good would that do for young, innocent children?!

If he were single, then i guess fair enough... It is his life to do as he pleases. But when he had such responsibility?? First allegiance should be to one's wife/kids. Seems a tad selfish otherwise. Poor children.
