Awww that's cute you're at the age of experiementing with your feelings I can tell because you sound unsure and that's not bad at all, I have been there. My cousin is 16 he's so young... there's so much time.. I don't have much on teen advice (I'm sure there are teenagers in PC who can give you better advice.) but who says you gotta jump straight to BF/GF title. Make conversation about a favorite band, about a class, music. I think that'll make it easier and take away a lot of anxiety to express any other feelings you have, both for you and her. I am sure she's feeling the same way.
