Expensive and tragically boring, I had the same experience in my first degree. Except I simply stopped going to classes altogether.
You either need to care about it enough to go, or to be persistent enough to keep doing something you don't care enough about. For me those things took a few years, so I took a bit of a break and came back to University later.
I still procrastinate, both for lectures (which I can do online), and assignment work. But when I completely run out of time to procrastinate, I sit down and work until the job's done heh (often 12+ hours in a single session). I don't recommend it at all, but it's worked for me so far.
