I fail to see how this is a reflection on how great or bad this person would be for you on a date. Granted if someone is a terrible speller and does this a lot in emails, it tends to make you wonder about their education but even then it doesn't say anything about their character or values. Personally I am a person that catches constant spelling and grammar errors in writing and it frustrates me especially in professional online writing like blogs and articles but when it comes to judging a person other than their use of the english language, I just don't think that it tells me much about them outside of this. As I said, I try to watch my grammar and spelling for the most part but I'm one that actually uses chat shorthand quite a bit in texting and online - including saying "cuz" and other things.

I'd hate to think that my use of those kinds of words would make me unworthy of being considered as a date by a woman.

I hope I'm not being too harsh but I really think you should reassess your priorities with what qualities are important. After all you won't be writing to each other on a date, at home or "elsewhere" (I hope!)

That's just my 2c.
