I was just recently put on the lowest dose of Seroquel to help me sleep (25mg, not XR). It was wonderful, I slept very well. I am not bipolar or schizophrenic and I feel as if the lowest dose has a little risk for serious side effects, but I think I'm having auditory hallucinations... Last night I took my first dose of it and this morning, I was sitting in class and heard a very loud ticking noise, very annoying and distracting. I looked around and couldn't find anything that would be making that noise, and I asked my friend who was sitting next to me if she heard it and she said no. It stopped after about a minute. Then after that class, I came back to my apartment and laid down for a bit and I heard a baby crying. This occurred for a few minutes then stopped. I asked my roommate if she had heard a baby crying at all, thinking maybe our housemates had one over for some reason and I was hearing it through the walls, but she said no and that she hasn't heard a baby crying at all today. No more have happened throughout the day.
I'm not finding it extremely bothersome or anything, but I am not going to continue on this drug if that's what is going to continue.. I guess what perplexes me is that I'm on such a low dose that I don't know how this is happening.
I have only taken it one night, and I will keep trying it for at least a few more days to see what happens. Just curious is anyone knows anything about this or have had the same experience.
