I experienced the same thing when I was taking a lot of gen ed classes, they seemed pointless and boring. I would skip class once in a while because I didn't think it would be worth it to go and listen to a boring lecture that would put me to sleep. But I just learned to deal with the classes and kept telling myself that if I went to class and studied hard, I'd get through all the boring classes and get to the good stuff for my major. I think you just have to keep plugging away and get through it somehow.
