With the redaction process, does that mean the biological parents do not want to be contacted? Or is this just a part of the record process during that in which you were put up for adoption.

Regardless, or whatever the case it is...I had a friend recently that just went through this, and he had very little information on his records (for whatever reason). With some help from us all, he found his family and just recently had a family reuninon with them.

I hope whatever it is you are looking for (he just wanted a name, an identity & seemed to get more than his heart's desire) you will find. This has got to be a huge, and scary step for you...the uncertainty. Just don't set your sights too high, my friend didn't, he was prepared for his worst fears, but left the door open to whatever would come.
