You're not alone.
I recently got fired as well. I am not a good handler of stress either. At my last job, I could only eat for ten minutes a day. Some days I did not eat at all. I did everything wrong according to my superiors. My health started to decline. By the time I was fired, I was prehypertension, my hormones were off balanced, my headaches made me go blind in one or both eyes, and my face tend to get numb when I got those headaches.
Stress is something else. And degrees don't matter. I got my masters and was in school for my doctorate when I got fired.
Although without a job, I am truly better off. I dont have blinding/numbing headaches anymore. My pressure has gone down. And I have enough time in my day to say that it is okay. You really did not want to be around people that did not appreciate you anyway! I know that losing a job can be a set back when it comes to money (I just got the rent up for this month) But it seems like you will move forward with your well being. Be Happy
