Evidently I have the Korsakoff kind to a degree. I have absolutely NO memory whatsoever of my children's growing up years. If it wasn't for pictures, I'd have nothing at all. There are only tiny bits and pieces. I also have short term memory loss. Most of the time I can't remember what happened 2-3 days ago, or even yesterday without prompts. And sometimes that doesn't even help.

I don't fabricate lies to fill in gaps tho, because I HATE lying. I just plain admit I can't remember.

I can talk, but generally I cannot remember proper words. I get 'stuck.' lol That is the most frustrating thing, and I end up sounding like an idiot.

My doctor did tell me that I have brain damage. I'm not surprised, since I drank so heavily for over 20 years and I was a blackout drinker too. I dont' know why I'm alive to be honest. God saved me, that's for sure.
