Anyone know of websites or info about getting a decent apartment/renting a house on fixed income?

Thanks.
I'm in the same boat. But i don't think you get any special treatment as far as getting a decent place to live that you don't have to pay market rent for just because your on disability. I don't think so anyway. Maybe it depends on where you live. I know here there are disability apartments that are in buildings that are for senior citizens. Other than that its low income housing projects. Unless you can get on section 8 and there is like several years on a waiting list for that. Plus you have to find a waiting list that is open. I'm trying to figure out how to move on my own without my bf and take care of myself while on disability. And i really feel like there is no hope. Maybe where you live though things are different. I hope so, good luck to you. If you find out anything different let me know please.
