My superior motivation is making a difference. When I die, I'd like to look back and have somebody say...he really helped me, or he made a difference. I had value.

If I leave this place just a little bit better than I found it, in spite of my issues and failings, even for just one single person, then I'll know I had some value.

The rest of what is I do is just about getting by as best as possible in a world that I didn't create, and I didn't choose to be brought in to.
