It was part time with the expectation to become full time. I was laid off in Oct 2011 from a job I had for 14 years. Someone that I've known for about 3 years then hired me part time with the intention of it becoming full time once some big projects took off. Well, those projects haven't taken off yet - so I'm still part time - only 1 day a week. *sigh*

I should've been looking for a full time job from day one....but I always felt pretty confident that the part time job was going to become full time. It doesn't seem very promising at the moment.

And the thought of selling myself and interviewing absolutely TERRIFIES me....so, many times, the fear stops me in my tracks. But unemployment ends in 3 weeks...and I have a mortgage on a home, a daughter, etc.

I've been sending out resumes and reaching out to colleagues, etc. Am working on meeting one of my old bosses (who works as a contractor in the toy industry) for lunch hopefully next week to talk about some possible part time work (nothing steady, just one-off projects) and to see if he can put out some feelers to his network of professionals.

I'm also fearful about not being physically capable of working full time. With these migraines and other pain, it's hard to imagine. But I'm sure once it happens, I'll manage...
