Hello KBLUV,
I agree with Bptoo you should ask your doctor about taking Klonopin, Ativan, or Xanax any one of these serve the same generally purpose which is to reduce panic attacks and they REALLY do work! But they are best used for short term not long term. It is really best to take these when you are transitioning between other medications because it will reduce panic attacks while you are switching meds. I would definitely ask your doctor about these medications for your panic attacks. In addition, try and find out from your doc about therapy for your anxiety too.
I am currently taking Lexapro for an anxiety disorder it I think it does a really good job. I still have panic attacks here and there but thats to be expected with any anxiety disorder. The Lexapro does significantly reduce my anxiety and panic attacks by about 70 percent so that is good and the therapy kind of picks up the other 20 to 30 percent. Well good luck! Keep us posted!
