In midst of a realization last week that my frustrations at work are related to PTSD, I left three very emotional voice mails for my pdoc. I mentioned what was happening and about medication. I got a voice mail from him later in the day firmly saying, "Never call me again... If you want to discuss medication, you will need to call my office secretary to try to schedule with me sooner than three months."

"Never call me again." I can't believe a pdoc could be so idiotic to say something so unsupportive and unvalidating--especially to someone who is already reacting to PTSD stressors.

That comment caused me to associate him with a particular traumatic event in my life, so now he is a part of it!

I do not regularly abuse his voice mail, so I see his reaction to be extreme under the circumstances. I don't care if he thought three voice mails was too many and to never call him again--I *Will* call him again to inform him of his error in judgement in what he said. And I honestly don't care if he cuts off my services entirely for it either.
