Personally my solution to that kind of job is a good MP3 player. Even two of them, so that when one is recharging the other is ready to go. Language tapes never really did much for me, but I would listen to books that helped me learn new ideas. I also used the desktop computer to play subliminals (http://www.subliminalmp3s.com/ has silent versions, and I figured anything my coworkers heard wouldn't hurt them. Everyone can use more harmony, more peace, better luck, more money). The thing is, I regret that I didn't get certification courses and other things like that that I could put on my resumé. I lost my job due to budget cuts and had nothing to show for it.
