I don't know whether it's the bipolar, the meds, the fact that I'm in my mid-50s, or all of the above, but I definitely have some short-term memory loss. I can't memorize anything anymore......give me a phone number to dial, and by the time I get past the area code and prefix I can't remember the rest of it. I'll tell the same story to the same person more than once. And I sometimes stop in the middle of a sentence because I'm unable to spit out the correct word to describe what I'm talking about! Drives me crazy, I tell you.....it's embarrassing. But there doesn't seem to be much I can do about it.
