ok, you see it's like this: i am a make doer, fixer, mender, worshipper of bailing wire, duct tape, and gorilla glue. But, nothing in my years and years of experimenting has succeded in actually mending plastic, let alone plastic under load..... J-B Weld, found at auto motive and hardware stores, has done the trick for me on a fan housing!!! The base side of a revolving fan had broken leaving the fan wonked and unable to hold it's head up and rotate.

Darn. $4 bucks at the Senior Center Thrift in jeapardy here. Plastic. Hmmmmm, well, never having tried J-B on plastic, but, having had great success with it on metals, I figured, what the heck, nothing else has worked on plastic, may as well give it a shot.

I found a way to prop the darn wobbly mess, get the J-B mixed and on the edges, pulled it together and slapped a round of electrical tape on to hold the pressure. Left it completely alone for 24 hours. I left the electrical tape in place so as to not mess up a good thing, and the fan has been happily sweeping back and forth for weeks now. YeeeHaaaa, this I had to share!
