It was burning my stomach so much I started overeating to stop the gnawing pain that seemed like hunger. That was educational then the pdoc recommended Cimetidine which has a whole other set of interactions. But once I stopped seeing my mother and the stress stopped, so did the stomach problems and my sensitivity to the topamax, except occasionally.
