Negative side effects - none.
Positive side effect - I am now able to drink tea without sweetener as I could when I was a child. Before Metformin, I had to use sweetener.
People increasingly take it to prevent diabetes.
My blood sugar is normal and my endocrinologist prescribed Metformin even though my blood sugar before Metformin was borderline low - 71 (the normal range is 70-100)
