Unfortunately, most bad bosses aren't quite that bad (or stupid, nor are the companies that hire them) but it certainly would make it easier to quit! It's not against the law to say bad things about someone either, companies nowadays don't though because of lawsuits. http://www.jobjournal.com/article_fu....asp?artid=429 Most will only confirm or deny what information the company calling them has and not give any "new" information.
