This does not surprise me. Some exceptionally capable, talented people cannot grow within the constraints imposed by formal schooling.

I understand. This creates a tremendous challenge for you. You may need to be creative. Could you see a counsellor or doctor who understands the delicate nature of your position within culture and family?

This is one of the ways depression works. Chances are you are capable of more than you feel, but depression will not let you feel it.

My dog
mastered the "fetch" command. He would communicate he wanted something, and I would fetch it.
