Has anybody run into big problems with some members of your family once they learn about your illness. My mother's parents evicted my parents and I from my home for over twenty years. Thankfully, we found a safe house to live in but we were evicted because of my schizophrenia (which I have had at least 14 years at the time, mostly unmedicated, so they had known me at my worst). How does one forgive someone who tore you from your safe place and just thrust you into the wild, with no care on what happens to you. Oh and while we were packing, he shot his gun around our yard all the time when he knows that anytime I hear a gunshot, I think it is going to come through the window to hurt me. He also would just hammer on my side of the house. It got so bad that I had panic attacks and would jump at every swing. So I guess what I am asking is how does one forgive another when just the sound of their voice or getting close to the area gives me crying fits and panic attacks?

The sad thing is a part of me misses them...
