Unless they're physically holding you hostage, I would say ignoring them is still possible. Think of it this way... if they really wanted to impede on your life, they'd use their advanced technology to disrupt your internet connection and electricity so that you couldn't talk about them. Have they stopped your mail? Hacked into your online accounts? If not, it means they're afraid of getting caught. If they're afraid of getting caught, they're probably not as powerful as you assume.
