I haven't done anything for Christmas is years. I hope for gardening weather every year, but I live in Texas.
When I worked in the hospital those of Jewish faith would take up the job of our volunteers and other positions. It was warmed the hearts of so many. I can tell you there are many in hospitals, nursing homes and such that will not have any family visitors. I recall that someone had left their flowers behind for the nurses to enjoy. We decided to pass them to a patient who was dealing with tough medical problems but no family. She was over joyed.
You will find the right thing for you to do. Even walking the dog. Doubt the cat would care to be walked.
