Thank you so much everyone, for caring and supporting...
I had daughter to a family doctor today (we needed to get a new one for her - she wouldn't pick one for a while).
He was awesome. She loved him and thought he was very personable, caring and to top it off, cute.
Last night she'd told me that she didn't want to jinx anything, but her leg was feeling normal. I later told her that I noticed she was walking much more normally. This morning she was doing just as good! The steroids are working!!! YAY!!! She only had one pain pill yesterday and one at about 4 a.m. this morning!!!
The family dr. said that it's going to be a good year of healing, but we'll try to get her through this without surgery. If we can get her through the next year without anything bad (big injury, rupture, etc.), she should be ok for many years...
He wants to set her up with physical therapy to strengthen the muscles back there, but also to help her learn to lift, bend, exercise, etc. She can't do that for at least two more weeks though. She needs more healing time.
He will see her in a week. If she starts to stiffen up again next week, we're to call immediately to get her back on muscle relaxers and shots in the back of localized steroid. She has enough muscle relaxers to take through this weekend and he wants her to.
He said if ANYTHING worsens from this point, we're to call immediately. He seemed very caring and asked about her emotional state and plans for tech college. He thinks the anxiety/depression is related directly to everything she's been through and that it will improve as she does physically, but we'll watch it. He questioned for a history of depression, etc.
I really liked him. Daughter loved him. TOO COOL!!! She's healing.
Please keep her in your thoughts, prayers, wishes that the healing continues!!!!
Love ya's!
