Yes, from his sister's and his wife's perspective, they don't want "trouble" and would love to sweep it under the rug. They have your abuser's best interest at heart and not yours. Please try to not validate their response. Have you had any therapy? This is where you will find a person who has your interest at heart. We have your interest at heart too!
