Absolutely. My parents both have severe mental issues too, my whole family tree is rife with severe mental illness. My mom denies anything wrong with herself but has shown paranoia, delusional beliefs, all kinds of stuff. There are so many undiagnosed cases, more than diagnosed cases. You know them better than anyone, trust your instincts.
