I switched to Effexor from Cipralex about 2 months ago and was taking them both at a small dosage as I moved towards Effexor. This is common practice, but some psychiatrists won't be ok with it, while others will. It depends on the combos and the dosages. But Effexor 75mg is a very low dosage, I was told recently by my therapist that 150mg is the minimum therapeutic dosage and 225mg was the "normal" dosage for people with major depression.
