My sister helps me with my finances because in addition to my depression and other mental illnesses, i am a compulsive spender. Saving money has been a HUGE issue for me (as I am sure it is for a lot of people). Recently, I recieved a large sum of money from my parents and my sister had "recommendations" about what to do with it. I did something a little different. Well, she sent me this email that totally ripped me. I didn't even read the second paragraph. Now i'm too anxious to do so. I know she loves me and is trying to help. I know she's not a professional but i have a very weak support network. she's all i have outside of my therapist.

i don't talk to anyone outside of these two people about my mental illnesses or my financial struggles. noone else would truly understand or give me the patience i need all the time.

just wondering if anyone else has similar issues. thanks.
