Too personal to share and too misunderstood.
People close to me (not many) just think I can't handle things and especially things others can handle, and that there is no rhyme or reason to that. It is true, that I can't handle some things and fall apart when others wouldn't, but I would be exhausted trying to explain or defend that, and I just have no interest in doing that. With time and work, I get better at handling things. Very few know I'm in therapy as well. This is about me, not them
Also, I don't consider it to be something that I "have". I consider BPD to be merely a description of ways I perceive and respond - those are the things that can be explored, worked on and changed.
I do "have" a thyroid condition and for that, medication is needed.
(Not to say that medication for some resulting symptoms of BPD can't be helpful)
