the kind of loss that we have faced...
the things that have happened that we have had to embrace...
the kind of torture that we are put through...
why should it be me.... why should it be you....

there are so many people that will never know this kind of pain...
why is that fair...
it's really not fair....

can't life just spread out the pain and the misfortune
so that everyone deals with a little
and no one too much...

why are some granted a life with little pain...
while others like you and me are dealt such bad hands...

i think about these things when bad things like this happen to me.
I sure hope that your father is doing better now.
